Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Electrical Bias

Shift work, 2-week rotation: Week 1: 6am - 4pm, Week 2: 4pm - 2am
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of electrical and electro-mechanical plant or machinery and site services by operating a planned preventive maintenance schedule (PPM).
2. Prompt response to equipment fault. Make safe, effective and timely repairs to minimise production downtime.
3. Report any problem regarding equipment and machinery immediately to the Maintenance Planner / Manager.
4. Use Root Cause Analysis to identify problems and practical problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement (CI).
5. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with colleagues. This includes delivery of clear and concise handover information.
6. Ensure conformity and safe working practices in accordance with the company policies.
7. This list is not exclusive, and you shall be required to undertake duties that you are suitably trained or competent to complete. You should actively take part in training and development, where requested, to enhance your role.
Qualifications/Key Skills:
1. NVQ Level 3 Electrical engineering or similar time served apprenticeship with relevant experience is essential - must provide proof of certification.
2. IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 17th / 18th Edition qualified.
3. Experience with production line automation and PLC fault-finding shall be a distinct advantage.
4. Excellent analytical and fault-finding / problem-solving skills with first time fix approach.
5. Experience of working in a fast-paced production environment within a multi-skilled team with good communication skills.
