Demonstrates the skills of managing care effectively in conjunction with the Multidisciplinary Team, taking account of each member's contribution to the care package. Demonstrates the skills of effective time management and ability to prioritise competing demands. Able to work positively with clients or carers who express verbal concerns or complaints about the service and attempt early and effective resolution in conjunction with the PALS Service. Is cognisant of local Trust policies and adheres to policy and procedural guidance. Shows awareness of the major national policy initiatives and their influence on care delivery.
Able to assist the Clinical Leads and Team Managers in the management of change, taking account of the views of clients, carers, the ward, and community team. Actively works with the Team Leads and Team Managers to implement the vision for recovery-focused community mental health care. Actively engages in the audit process and local audit projects. Shows willingness to participate in the service evaluation. Acts as a role model in the clinical arena for other staff.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective clinical supervision of the shift coordinators and junior staff on the team. Actively involved in Service Improvement initiatives within the area of work and as required by the mental health division.
