St Gemma’s Hospice is seeking a Maintenance & Estates Manager to lead and oversee the Maintenance and Estates services across all Hospice premises, including shops. As our Maintenance & Estates Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective upkeep and compliance of our estate, providing a safe and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors
The main responsibilities of the role are:
* Provide leadership and management of the Maintenance and Estates function.
* Assist the Head of Estates & Facilities in developing the Hospice Estate strategy and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme, ensuring timely completion and accurate record-keeping.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and documentation related to Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Environmental Management, COSHH, Security, and other regulatory standards.
* Lead and support the Maintenance and Estates team, including recruitment, training, and development.
* Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effective services.
* Oversee security management across the Hospice Estate, including CCTV and access control.
* Contribute to sustainability initiatives, aiming to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
