As a Production Scientist at LEX Diagnostics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of LEX molecular reagents. You’ll also contribute towards process improvements within production and play a key role in quality control activities to help us achieve ISO 13485 certification and the development of our lyophilisation processes.

You'll be joining the biology team working with other production scientists who are advancing medical technology and improving healthcare outcomes. We offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your expertise and ideas will be valued and nurtured.
What you will be doing:
* Support the production of LEX molecular biology reagents, including reagent preparation, lyophilization, and quality control of small to medium scale reagent batches.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
* Support production scaling activities in-house and with CMO’s.
* Support the creation and implementation of QC and validation protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Work closely with the Quality Manager to continue the journey towards ISO 13485 certification of the LEX facilities and QMS.
* Document all production activities, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
About you:
* Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques and principles, with experience in reagent production or development.
* Proficiency in RT-PCR and other molecular biology methodologies.
* Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS) is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with QC or validation processes in a regulated environment, ideally in the diagnostics industry.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
