Job Overview: We are working on behalf of our client, an injection moulding manufacturer we are looking for a Production Planner to join their team.
Remit:
* As Production Planner, your key role will be to manage the factory planning using MRP as well as planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and utilisation.
* The successful candidate will have prior experience working within injection moulding manufacturing and display critical thinking and problem solving skills with a degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and ERP & MRP systems.
Role:
* Monitor the availability of raw materials for planned manufacturing, using stock availability reports
* Manage the raw materials and packaging inventory for on-time delivery, precise stock records, and budget/space compliance
* Match workforce, manpower, and production capacity with existing inventory
* Formulate cost-effective manufacturing plans aimed at achieving Delivery Cost Improvement
* Undertake inventory counting for raw materials as required
* Maintain records of orders received, completed work, and inventory
* Advise and facilitate communication between company departments to review, maintain, and improve processes
* Liaise with procurement to ensure stock availability of raw materials for manufacturing
* Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements, promoting a safe and sustainable working environment
Experience Requirements:
* Experience working within the injection moulding manufacturing industry, with knowledge of plastic material sourcing & purchasing
* Experienced with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) systems
* Great attention to detail, self-motivated as well as excellent communication skills
* Be strongly analytical, display critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and have a high degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Office
* Applicants may have worked within any market discipline but must have prior experience working within hi-volume manufacturing
* Able to convey technical knowledge effectively
