We are delighted to announce that a part-time Social Worker opportunity has become available within the KMPT Rosewood Mother and Baby Unit (MBU). The MBU, based in Dartford, is an 8-bed inpatient unit for women experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues.
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join another part-time Social Worker as a job share. The ideal candidate will have experience in perinatal mental health and/or children and family social services.
The successful candidate will be committed to the development and clinical leadership of the MBU.
* The post holder must be registered with Social Work England.
* Completion of the ASYE program is required.
* You must hold a full, valid UK driving license and have access to a car for work purposes (unless disabled under the Equality Act 2010).
Main duties of the job
To work with the MBU multidisciplinary team, providing social work practice and support. Responsibilities include delivering social care services tailored to the needs of mothers and their babies, offering social care advice, and leading safeguarding efforts within the unit.
You will collaborate with various agencies to support mothers, focusing on recovery, social inclusion, and social justice. The role involves assessments, support planning, and providing 1-1 strength-based therapeutic interventions. Our practice principles include:

What is High Cost Area Allowance?
This allowance, also known as London Weighting, compensates employees working in London and surrounding areas. Since this position is based in Dartford, Gravesham, or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional monthly payment, which is 5% of the basic salary, subject to a minimum of £1,192 and a maximum of £2,011 annually, paid in 12 monthly installments.
