Are you highly motivated with excellent communication skills? We have an exciting and challenging role where you will be the Lead Engineer working on a client-facing project. You will be involved in concept studies through to detailed design, providing a variety of interesting work. Industries can range across Water, Transport and Energy including Green Energy, Nuclear, and Oil and Gas. As a Senior Engineer, you will take on responsibilities such as providing technical electrical discipline input for projects, mentoring and developing graduates, and ensuring compliance with national and international codes of practice, legislation, and company/client standards. You will prepare work scopes and equipment requisitions for a range of electrical equipment and review supplier quotations to prepare technical bid assessments. Skills: Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Control Engineering Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards it Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards 10 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and/or Water sectors Experience with CE marking, including Atex, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, and EMC Compliance Strong understanding of design practices and installation requirements Ability to mentor and develop graduates Excellent communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with risk management and HSE requirements Software/Tools: AutoCAD MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Cable sizing software (e.g., Amtech) Certifications & Standards: CE marking ATEX certification PED compliance Familiarity with Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC Compliance, and relevant national/international codes and standards.
