About the role: To lead the Team Fisher Boat Section Team, to deliver high quality maintenance on equipment specified by contractual requirements, in accordance with company standards, To ensure they: - Continually improve the way they contribute to the business - Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change - Ensure that they work in an effective collaborative manner with MoD staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours always. Skills and Experience Should have extensive experience of: - SSE Supervisors Course - Managing Safety - Building Manager - Fire Warden - First Aid - FLD Responsibilities - Ensure company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times, promote a safe work environment. - To maintain the seamanship aspects of all boats/vessels held within the DDS Boat section - To maintain all SSE in accordance with the latest instructions/standards and maintain the correct records - To ensure the security of all boats/vessels held within the DDS boat section on completion of operations. - To manage and control all aspects of DDS Boat section lifting equipment, ensuring all examinations are carried out and certification is held in accordance with current regulations - To prepare for issue, maintain & repair all W525 or equivalent held by DDS - To liaise with DES Boats & other outside agencies to arrange maintenance and certification of all boats within DDS - To carry out the role of Building Manager for building 167 - To carry out the role of Fire Warden for building.167 - To carry out any reasonable task as directed by line management. - To be the custodian of an Articles in Use account and maintain in accordance with the latest regulations. - Be 'Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement'. - Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service.
