Operations Manager
Location: Liverpool (Knowsley)
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 & Monthly Profit-Based Bonus
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

The Role
This is your chance to make a real impact. As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety are always at the forefront. You’ll be empowered to drive productivity, manage costs, and implement meaningful improvements. The role demands both a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to support and lead our talented team toward hitting key targets.
What You’ll Do:
1.
Operational Excellence:
Drive productivity and reduce costs through streamlined processes & Implement and monitor KPIs to optimise operational performance.
2.
Quality Management:
Work with the Quality Manager to uphold strict quality standards & ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
3.
Production Planning:
Develop and roll out effective production plans to meet demand & tackle bottlenecks and work closely with the production team.
4.
Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing operations team & foster a collaborative, results-driven culture.
5.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations & conduct regular safety audits and training to ensure a secure working environment.
6.
Supplier & Inventory Management:
Manage supplier relationships and optimise inventory with purchasing & reduce lead times and ensure supply consistency.
7.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify improvement opportunities and implement lean manufacturing principles & collaborate across functions to drive innovation and efficiency.
8.
Reporting:
Lead weekly KPI sessions across departments & present bi-weekly operational updates to directors.
Who You Are
* Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Proven track record in operations management within the metal manufacturing or engineering sector.
* Strong leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
* Knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
* Analytical, organised, and a problem solver.
* Familiar with health and safety standards.
