If you're eager to further your career in urban design and contribute to meaningful projects, this could be the role for you.\n\nPrimary Role:\n\nThe successful candidate will provide design development and technical support across multiple projects, working alongside senior team members.
You will be involved in all stages of urban design, from initial concept through to detailed design and implementation.\n\nMain Duties:\n\nAssist with a variety of small to medium-scale urban design projects, supporting in conceptual design, detailed design, and project management tasks.\nCollaborate with internal and external project teams to develop innovative design concepts.\nAssist in the preparation of plans, sections, and technical drawings using CAD software for planning, tender, and construction stages.\nContribute to the creation of presentations, planning documents, and reports, ensuring the highest standard of quality.\nCreate sketches, visual representations, and photomontages as needed to convey design ideas effectively.\nLiaise with clients and external project teams, offering support as required.\nVisit sites and capture site photography, following best practice guidelines.\nCompile baseline data and assist with Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), where appropriate.\nAttend project meetings and client discussions to ensure projects are progressing smoothly.\n\nQualities & Skills Required:\n\nA relevant degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent postgraduate qualification recognised by professional bodies such as the RTPI, RIBA, or LI.\nIdeally 1-2 years of post-graduate experience in urban design, working within the private or public sector.\nA proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nExperience in taking part in projects from initial concept through to completion, liaising with clients and design teams.\nStrong knowledge of industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.\nA creative flair with solid technical drawing skills and an eye for detail.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly.\nA solid understanding of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) processes would be advantageous.\nAble to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.\nA full UK driving licence is required for site visits.\n\nInterested?\n\nContact Sofia Conte (url removed) or call (phone number removed).
