Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client's recruiter customer base. You will proactively manage a pipeline of recruiter prospects, self-generate leads through various channels, and oversee the full 360-degree sales cycle from lead generation to closing new customers. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough market research to identify and prospect potential customers that align with our client’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) in the recruitment industry. Utilise various prospecting techniques such as cold calling, email outreach, networking, and leveraging online platforms to generate leads. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target companies to understand their needs and challenges. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our client's marketplace, demonstrating how the platform benefits recruiters. Qualify leads by conducting needs assessments, understanding customer requirements, and determining suitability. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the platform’s features and advantages. Develop and present tailored proposals and pricing solutions based on customer needs, negotiating contracts, and closing deals to meet sales targets. Collaborate closely with the customer success team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to onboarding and implementation. Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the Commercial Director. Requirements: Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or a similar role, ideally within the recruitment, HR tech, or SaaS industries. Experience in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure. Strong ability to self-generate leads and identify new business opportunities through various outreach methods. Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders. Highly resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a proactive approach to meeting targets. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
