OVO Arena Wembley is one of the UK’s most legendary concert and events venues. With a rich history that goes back to its days as the Empire Pool and Sports Arena, the building has played host to numerous events including the 1948 and 2012 Olympics and for over 60 years, the 12,500 capacity Arena has seen some of the biggest names in music walk through its doors from Queen, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to David Bowie, Cher, Michael Jackson, Madonna and ABBA.
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Commercial & Marketing Director to lead our commercial and marketing teams in achieving ambitious targets and exploring new opportunities for growth. The role focuses on maximising commercial, hospitality, and premium contributions, increasing venue ticket sales, and leveraging C&E (Conferences & Events) revenue streams in collaboration with the central C&E team and Destination Wembley. Additionally, the role will focus on building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with Wembley Park shareholders and ensuring effective promotion of events and positive PR opportunities.

Your Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the VP & General Manager to develop and implement a strategy that ensures all budgeted targets for the Commercial and Marketing teams are met.
* Lead premium and off-manifest income campaigns to maximise sales across club seats, terrace suites, and lounges.
* Oversee venue C&E (Conferences & Events) activity for the Commercial team, working with the central C&E team and Destination Wembley to maximise income from arena events.
* Work with the Commercial team and stakeholders to optimise revenue from rooms and areas on non-arena event days.
* In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, implement a marketing strategy to maximise venue sales and income across all areas.
* Provide comprehensive marketing support to event hirers, maximise social media engagement, exploit PR opportunities, and continue the first-time award programme for new headliners.
* Manage and develop strong working relationships with Levy Restaurants, the in-house caterers, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Manage and nurture the relationship with merchandise concessionaire, National Merchandise, to optimise revenue streams.
* As a member of the senior management team, actively participate in key venue initiatives, including the development and execution of the venue's sustainability programme.
* Deliver the highest levels of customer service, ensuring all guests leave with exceptional memories.
* Promote teamwork across departments to enhance performance and business outcomes.
We are looking for someone with:
* Proven track record in commercial and marketing leadership, preferably in events, hospitality, or venue management.
* Strong strategic planning skills, with a focus on revenue growth and operational efficiency.
* Experience managing stakeholder relationships and partnerships to support business objectives.
* Proficiency in marketing strategy development, including digital marketing, social media, and PR.
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
* Commitment to sustainability and customer service excellence.
