A bit about the role
The Safe Scouting Department ensures Safeguarding and Safety are the golden threads that run through all of Scouting; and we help to facilitate Safe Scouting at all activities, including large scale events such as the World Scout Jamboree, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for youth members and volunteers.
As part of the Safeguarding Team, you'll be responsible for managing a caseload and giving support and advice to local volunteer managers in responding to concerns or complaints affecting the safety and welfare of young people; for progressing some safeguarding concerns and making the necessary referrals to statutory agencies where required.
