We are seeking a Senior Residential & Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join or head this innovative and growing practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse caseload encompassing both residential and commercial property transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in handling a wide range of matters across both sectors. This will be done with a strong emphasis on client service. Key Responsibilities: Caseload Management: Handle a caseload comprising approximately 80% residential and 20% commercial property transactions. Ensure compliance with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) and regulatory requirements for conveyancing transactions from the time of inception to completion. Independently manage files, meeting and exceeding personal targets for efficiency and quality of service. Commercial conveyancing: Oversee commercial freeholds, leaseholds and licence-to-assign agreements, sales, and purchases of commercial properties. Work closely with local estate agents in dealing with commercial transactions. Residential conveyancing: Manage a residential property portfolio, in sale, purchase, transfer and re-mortgage transactions. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of property laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with CQS at all stages of the conveyancing process. Deliver high-quality legal solutions to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. Business Development: Utilize networking skills to develop and maintain strong client relationships, driving business growth opportunities. Actively participate in business development activities, contributing to the firm's overall success. setting up the department and help in getting more panel lenders on firm portfolio communicating with Estate-Agents to grow the department and generate leads Team Collaboration and Leadership: Provide supervision, support, and coaching to paralegals, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, mortgage lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. Requirements Qualified Solicitor with experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing. 3 years PQE (Senior) OR 5 years PQE, with Accredited under the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). Proven track record in business development and networking. Extensive knowledge of UK property laws and regulations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Proficiency in conveyancing systems and technology.
