Job overview
The Vascular Laboratory at King's College Hospital has a rare opportunity to recruit a band 8a Senior Clinical Vascular Scientist. Applications are invited from those with accreditation with Society for Vascular Technology or HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in vascular science. This role will have a leading focus on teaching and training, helping us shape our training strategy for the future!
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at Denmark Hill but will require candidates to contribute to clinics at other locations. The post-holder will scan and report independently on the full range of vascular ultrasound investigations while leading on training, ensuring rotations are in place for STP trainees and monitoring trainee progress.
Maintaining and developing relationships with our training partners is vital to this post. We have a very successful track record with 100% of our STP trainees completing the programme first time.
Accredited or HCPC registered clinical vascular scientists who don’t quite have the experience for the senior role may be eligible for a post at band 7 and are also encouraged to apply.
We are a responsive team with a reputation within the trust for providing an excellent service to our patients and referring clinical teams.
