Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Adult Safeguarding Team for Band 6/7 Adult Safeguarding Practitioner. Working in the Safeguarding Team you will join an enthusiastic, driven and caring team, to help provide support to our adult patients.
The Adult Safeguarding Practitioner is a key position within our Adult Safeguarding team where you will support the Adult Safeguarding arena which includes:
1. Adult Safeguarding
2. Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS)
3. Domestic Abuse and Violence (DA)
4. Learning Disabilities
5. Mental Health Act Administration
Advert
1. To work closely with the Trust’s Safeguarding Team in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in Adult Safeguarding
2. To act as an Adult Safeguarding role model for Trust staff
3. To participate in the operational work of the Safeguarding Team. This may include advice and support to employees, participating in safeguarding strategy meetings or enquiries & Best Interest Meetings
4. To support the Safeguarding Teams Education & audit agenda
5. To advise Police, Adult Social Care, DoLS Teams and other agencies on safeguarding, mental capacity and DA health matters in an acute setting
To work within the multi-professional, multi-agency arena to protect and promote the welfare of adults at risk of abuse and neglect.
