Weev are now seeking a talented Electrical Engineer within Weev, to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems, providing sound technical knowledge and electrical expertise. Key Responsibilities Produce drawings and design calculations on EV infrastructure and components. Evaluate electrical systems and products via design and applying knowledge of electricity and material specifications. Participate in the selection of electrical components and materials to ensure high quality finish and consistency on projects. Provide technical knowledge of installing EV charge points. Input into the tender process providing technical expertise. Provide expertise in electrical design with particular attention on MV and LV networks. Produce accurate bill of materials for electrical components. Work with the sales / technical support team to assist customers through the technical survey and purchasing journey of an EV charge point. Work closely with equipment suppliers, contractors and DNOs acting as a technical expert, ensuring feasibility in everything we do. Attend meetings with clients, consultants and industry professionals, advising on how best to meet their needs. Support with problem-solving and troubleshooting of technical issues. Prepare product reports through collecting and analysing information. Assist in the development of electrical training processes for people across the Weev group including customer service and technical support. An ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences. Essential Experience BSc Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Member of professional body (IET, IEI). Working towards or prepared to work towards Chartership. Strong understanding of BS7671 and associated IET guidance for EV charging. A keen eye for technical detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Experience in the design of evaluating technical specifications. Experience with grid infrastructure and HV/MV/LV design particulars. Experience conducting site surveys. Ability to use AutoCAD and produce technical drawings. Competent to interpret technical specifications for projects and equipment. Knowledge of electrical technology and regulatory requirements. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Desirable Criteria MSc in Electrical Engineering. Chartered Electrical Engineer. Extensive HV/MV design experience. Ability to design, modify and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD. Experience working within the EV Charging industry. Full UK driving licence.
