About us
The number theory group at King’s currently consists of several researchers and post-doctoral researchers. We work closely with other leading universities across London, creating a hub of mathematical excellence in Number Theory.
About the role
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate to work on the EPSRC funded project “Langlands reciprocity and the geometry of Shimura varieties: the modpinterface”. This is a two-year position which includes a travel budget. The expected start date is 1st of September 2025, but is negotiable.
The PDRA will be expected to work on aspects of the proposed research, including (but not limited to) mod p geometry of Shimura varieties and their stratifications, p-adic Hodge theory, mod p and p-adic automorphic forms.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
* A PhD (or equivalent) in mathematics.
* Excellence in research and publications, commensurate with career stage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Specialist knowledge in an area related to the research programme.
* Experience of working as part of a group.
