They are a private multi-disciplinary firm dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable planning solutions across a range of sectors. They are passionate about shaping the future of urban and rural environments and are seeking a talented Associate Planning Director to lead and inspire a growing team.
As an Associate Planning Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and managing planning projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of planning applications, development proposals, and policy assessments. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to deliver exceptional results that align with our commitment to sustainability and community enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
·Provide expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients and internal teams.
·Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
·Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and policy representations.
·Mentor and support junior planners, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
·Stay abreast of industry trends, policy changes, and best practices to ensure the highest standards of service.
·Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualifications and Experience:
·A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
·Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI).
·Proven experience in a senior planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
·Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, regulations, and policies.
·Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
·Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·A strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
·Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring or managing teams.
