An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Youth Worker to join our Team in our Youth & Community Hub here at Stratford Youth Collective (SYC). The Youth Worker will be responsible for delivering a programme of youth work within a range of centre-based and community settings through the provision of youth led projects and informal educational activities, and 1-2-1 work to meet the needs of young people aged 8 to 19 years, or up to 25 with a disability.
The successful candidate will have an NVQ or equivalent in youth and community work, experience of developing, promoting organising and delivering personal, social and educational programmes and opportunities with and for young people. In addition candidates will have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, develop effective working relationships, work as part of a team and have a willingness to work flexibly to ensure high quality youth service delivery.
The role is offered on a permanent contract, working 24 hours per week, including 2-3 evenings and occasional weekends. There may be opportunities to add additional hours in order to deliver additional grant funded projects.
