- THE ROLE -
The Procurement Partner will support the Procurement Manager in providing a cost-effective service in respect of the provision of a comprehensive procurement service. They will be responsible for managing the University’s procurement function on a day-to-day basis, within a nominated portfolio and or commodities area. The post holder will be actively involved in the implementation of innovative procurement strategies and initiatives across the University, ensuring that high levels of service are maintained, and that value for money is achieved.
- ABOUT YOU -
- An honours degree or a relevant equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience of managing multiple procurement tenders / categories concurrently. Experience must demonstrate: A) Application of a range of procurement tools and techniques such as successful value analysis, process mapping, risk management & tender management. B) Use of effective commercial negotiations resulting in significant cost reduction.
- Experience of all aspects of contracting, in particular knowledge or experience with Public Contract Regulations.
- Experience of managing high level procurement tenders (greater than £2m) with evidence of delivering successful outcomes against agreed objectives, budget & timelines.
- Experience of presenting information to a wide range of stakeholders both internally & externally.
- Willingness to travel between campuses to attend meetings and to other locations to meet with clients.
