We are excited to be working with a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) primary and secondary school in Chobham to find dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their passionate and supportive team.
Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, both on a 1:1 and small group basis. Your contribution will help create a safe and engaging learning environment, ensuring that students receive the appropriate support to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, assisting with their educational, emotional, and social development.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to deliver effective learning strategies and interventions.
* Build positive relationships with students to support their progress and wellbeing.
* Assist in the preparation of learning materials and activities.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, preferably in an SEMH, SEN, or alternative education setting.
* A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full-time availability and flexibility to support a range of classroom activities.
* A valid driving license and access to a car is highly preferable due to the school’s location.
