Our Client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join a busy multi-disciplinary Team and be part of wider forward thinking Company who value their people and invest in their development, this is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop your own Team.
Providing expertise across a full range of design and construction management, including Engineering, Architecture and building maintenance and currently have an opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer to join our Exeter based team.
As an experienced Associate Structural Engineer You will be expected to:
1. Completing planned work programmes and projects to timeframes and with budget.
2. Managing client needs, defining project technical specifications, manage costs, fees and commercial requirement and ensure that projects are delivered to client satisfaction.
3. Assisting the relevant director in managing engineering resources across the Structural Engineering team.
4. Managing the implementation of best practice in the Structural Engineering team.
5. Leading major projects ensuring that they are delivered to the specification.
6. Preparing designs, calculations, specifications, drawing and carrying out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new building schemes.
7. Preparing schedules of dilapidations, improvement scheme, drawings and specifications, structural surveys, and insurance reinstatement schemes.
The successful Associate Structural Engineer will have:
8. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Structural Engineering related discipline
9. Professional membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status
10. Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
11. Conversant with Health and Safety legislation.
12. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
