An early state climate tech startup is seeking a CTO to manage a small team of engineers and take their platform to the next level - either on a perm or interim basis. Since launching their core product in late 2023, the business has seen significant success and continuous growth. The team is now expanding their platform by integrating innovative tools and AI-enabled solutions, further empowering their clients to make informed decisions in the climate tech space. We are seeking a highly skilled CTO with a background in software engineering, experience working in early-stage start-ups, and ideally experience working within the climate sector to build out and scale their technology function.
What you’ll be doing:
* Collaborate with senior leadership to define the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company’s business goals.
* Lead, inspire, and grow talented technical teams.
* Bridge the gap between business strategy and technology, aligning the tech vision with the company's objectives.
* Understand budgets and business planning with the ability to conduct technological analyses and research to guide investment decisions.
* Manage complex projects with a solution-oriented, results-driven approach.
* Maintain an innovative mindset, adaptable, and quick to tackle technical challenges.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate market opportunities into technical solutions.
What skills you will need:
* Background in software engineering working on scalable products.
* Tech Stack: Python, Django, React, Typescript, AWS.
* Experience working in start-up/scale-up environments.
* Ideally experience working within the Climate Tech space.
* Experience leading Software, Data, and Machine Learning teams.
