Job Title: System of Systems Integration Lead
Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol or Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
The opportunity:
As the System of Systems Integration lead, your primary objective is to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team in support of integration (physical / functional) of a land-based product into a wider Ground Based Air Defence Weapon System context.
You will be experienced in functional design and integration to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges of integrating complex systems into a larger / wider system context. This role will involve engagement with the customer along with industry partners with the System of Systems Integration lead acting as an experienced technical point of contact with these organisations.
What we're looking for from you:
1. An experienced engineer with proven experience in developing and integrating complex systems, preferably in the defence industry
2. Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to initiate and drive trade studies
3. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders (internally and externally)
4. Experience developing requirement sets, and an ability to agree these collaboratively with different stakeholder groups including System Design Authorities and Government organisations
5. Project engineering knowledge to be able to design and deliver work packages
6. Familiarity with system architecture tools, including DOORS and Rhapsody
