Our client - a fast-growing agency - is looking for an experienced to join them as an Operations Manager to manage operational issues and ensure the business continues to run smoothly.
Reporting to the CEO you will bring a deep understanding of setting up and managing in-house operations.
Initially, this will be a contract role (but with the potential to become a permanent one), where you will be expected to be in the office at least 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Management:
* Ensure company-wide compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards
* Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
* Monitor changes in regulations and update internal processes accordingly
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps
* Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors
* Manage contracts and relations with vendors, partners and other stakeholders
Operational Oversight:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operations align with compliance requirements.
* Develop and optimise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for compliance-related workflows.
* Oversee data security and privacy policies to ensure adherence to GDPR, SOC2, or other relevant frameworks.
* Manage compliance-related reporting and documentation.
* Create and negotiate contractor and supplier agreements.
* Manage resource tools, and enforced resourcing best practices for project managers.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
* Work with legal, HR, finance, and IT teams to align compliance efforts.
* Train and support employees on compliance best practices and policies.
* Ensure smooth collaboration with external regulators, partners, and vendors.
* Maintain strong relationships with contractors by ensuring clear communication, setting expectations, and providing ongoing support to foster collaboration and high-quality deliverables.
About You
* Experience with compliance and executing within an in-house team
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, inclusive of managing challenging situations through proactive, positive and diplomatic methods
* Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
