Are you ready to step into an exciting leadership role and make a real impact? We’re looking for a Commercial Trading Director (Pitch Profitability Director) to help shape our strategy and drive success across our business. You’ll lead a team that makes key decisions to drive Haven’s profitability, from pricing to pitch profitability, and play a key role in balancing performance across all business areas. This is an ideal role for an experienced commercial trader, someone who is used to balancing business needs and knowing which levers to pull based on market conditions.
Your Opportunity:
- Analysing caravan sales trading performance and key drivers to better inform trading strategy ad in-year actions to deliver the plan
- Leading the decision-making around how to set our pricing for each of our key products, and how to respond to the trading environment with pricing and promotional levers
- Setting Caravan Sales and Site Fee budget targets and monitoring performance against these, including pricing reviews to ensure long-term value for the business
- Owning the Pitch Strategy process and our Commercial and Pitch Profitability Operating Models, using these to drive all decisions around optimising the use of our pitches, and the balance between Fleet and Owner
- Working closely with the Operations team to ensure optimisation of conversion of appointments to sign up
What we’d like you to bring:
- Proven experience of leading a commercial trading function, including pricing and sales
- A high level understanding of P&L structure and drivers of profitability preferred
- Significant experience of influencing and stakeholder management
- Analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to make the trade off between in-year and multi-year opportunities
- Experience within the leisure/ hospitality / caravan ownership industry would be advantageous, as would revenue management experience
