Lead Fibre Installation Engineer
* Location: Field Based
* Hours: Mon – Fri 7.5 hours between 7:00am – 19:00pm
* Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 Plus company benefits

Your New Role (Hands-on Lead):
We’re looking for a Fibre Installation Engineer who is comfortable leading projects when required. This includes being an escalation point, allocating duties, and providing high-level updates and overviews to relevant management and stakeholders.
* Work closely with the Installation Manager and other team members to ensure the success and profitability of the team.
* Effectively supervise an installation/commissioning team; ensuring work is completed in a timely and professional manner, exceeding both client and customer expectations.
* Liaise with various departmental associates to achieve customer satisfaction and installation completion.
* Implement work pack instructions & produce red-line markup diagrams.
* Prepare and interpret spreadsheets, customer documents & technical drawings.
* Ensure completion of works within project timescales.
* Prepare RAMS – with technical content support from the team as required.
* Generate detailed daily & weekly site reports – internal & customer-facing as required.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Experience in Fibre Fusion Splicing and jointing.
* Structured cabling installation experience.
* Copper installation, jointing, and connections.
* Working knowledge of copper and fibre testing, OTDR, and ILM.
* Cable containment experience.
* A responsible attitude and behavior appropriate to the position.
* The ability to make decisions, think on your feet, and communicate and present information effectively.
* Good spoken and written communication skills.
* The ability to plan and prioritize own work and that of others.
