The Role and Responsibilities
An exciting permanent role has arisen for a Crane Service Technician to join a busy team based on various sites across England. You will be responsible for ensuring crane integrity is maintained and operated to current legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations and in line with client specifications. Other duties will include:
1. Carrying out fault-finding and breakdown maintenance work.
2. Liaising with the site team and working with incumbent contractors and other sub-contractors.
3. Assisting in investigations and recommending improvements following equipment failures or deterioration of components.
4. Updating work and equipment history records on maintenance management systems electronically.
A van will be provided for the role as well as accommodation for nights where the sites are not commutable. Overtime rates will be given for any travel done outside of standard hours. The role is salaried with overtime rates included as well as a per diem allowance.
The Requirements
To be successful for this role, it is essential you hold an Electrical based qualification such as an 18th edition. Knowledge and understanding of LOLER Regulations and LEEA Guidelines is also essential. You must have a proven track record in working with gantry cranes and repair and maintenance of crane equipment. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective and clear communication with any banksman and/or site personnel. A UK driving licence is required.
