Location: Nottingham (NG8)
Salary: £22/per hour (Depending on Qualification & Experience)
Job Type: Permanent – Full Time
Work Schedule: Office-Based
Hours of Work: Days & Nights – including weekends and bank holidays; 42 hours/per week with 12-hour shifts (rolling rota basis)
Start Date: Immediate, but subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse for a residential adult care, to provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements in this community-based service in Nottingham, NG8 supporting adults with learning disability and autism. The role aimed at providing direct care and support to individuals with autism and mental health conditions / learning disabilities whilst delivering person-centred care that is bespoke to each individual.
As a Registered Learning Disability Nurse, you will be responsible for:
1. Care Delivery – Ensuring Service Users are at the heart of direct care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
2. Medication Administration – Administer medications and monitor their effects.
3. Stakeholder Management – Developing effective working relationships with other employees within the service and work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users and implement care plans.
4. Client Evaluation – Monitor service users’ progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
5. Stakeholder Engagement – Educate service users and their families about mental health conditions and available resources.
6. Data Management – Maintain accurate and up-to-date service users’ records.
Requirements:
1. Valid NMC Registration – (Essential)
2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing – Learning Disabilities – (Essential)
3. Minimum 5 years’ work experience in mental health nursing/learning disabilities with relevant group of Service Users – learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour adults (Essential)
4. Excellent communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
5. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for problem solving.
6. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
7. Compassionate and empathetic approach to service users’ care.
8. Experience in managing service users’ acute episodes.
9. Excellent knowledge of capacity assessments and DOL’s.
10. Excellent knowledge about autism and LD.
11. Excellent knowledge about reflective practice.
12. Excellent restrain trained/knowledge – understanding of restrain reduction network.
13. Excellent knowledge about communication programmes for adults with learning or communication difficulties.
14. Expert knowledge about medication policies and procedures, related medication electronic systems and regulations.
15. Experience in writing and updating care plans and risk assessments.
