About the role
As a Pharmacist with us, you’ll be providing excellent customer and patient care; it’s more than dispensing medicine, it’s listening and providing your expert advice and reassurance. Your main areas of responsibility will be:
* Delivering the pharmacy strategy through providing expert care and advice
* Accountable for legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy
* Building the pharmacy capability of store teams
* Conducting continual review through audit, observations, and risk assessment to ensure customer and patient safety is paramount
* Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services
What you’ll need to have
To be successful in this role, you will have a professional, caring character and a true desire to help us change for the better. In addition, you will:
* Be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
* Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers, and external local professionals
* Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers
* Be collaborative with a team-centered approach
* Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
* Be a great communicator; able to put people at ease and effectively meet the varied needs of our customers and patients
Need To Know
Boots are seeking a patient-focused, store-based Pharmacist to join our dedicated Pharmacy team on a part-time basis at our Boots store on Fore Street, St. Austell.
Join an established team to support this close-knit, local community located in a fantastic, busy high street store. There is an experienced Pharmacist currently in situ and a capable support team to allow a host of services supporting the healthcare needs of the local community.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work within a busy, service-led store; you will have the support of a team of experienced ACTs, dispensers, and pharmacy advisors, as well as a strong retail management support team and a dedicated Area Manager and Director of Stores.
This position comes with the opportunity to complete your independent prescribing qualification, fully funded by Boots!
Newly qualified pharmacists are very welcome to apply for this position.
Pharmacy Opening Times For This Store are:
Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 5pm
Saturday - 8:45am - 5:30pm
Sunday - 10am - 4pm
Shifts would be across Monday to Saturday with Sunday shifts available (time and a half for Sunday working). Alternate Saturdays are required to support this thriving business. We are seeking to cover 33 hours per week.
