Job summary We are a busy, seven GP practice in Fishguard right on the coast in the heart of Pembrokeshire in beautiful West Wales. We are looking for someone who will fit in with our friendly, professional team to help deliver an excellent service to our patients. As our receptionists are the first point of contact for our patients and other visitors, we are looking for someone who will be able to project a calm, positive and friendly image. Whilst no previous experience of working in a health care environment is necessary as full training will be given, it is essential that you are comfortable using the telephone, computer system (Microsoft office packages including word, outlook and excel), and are well organised - and ideally that you have a great sense of humour If you think this sounds like you, please contact us for a detailed job description - we would love to hear from you. Main duties of the job Reporting to the Reception Team Lead, you will be required to undertake reception duties (including full utilisation of the care navigation pathway, making appointments, registering new patients and generally dealing with all reception and administrative duties necessary to support the practice). This will include using a clinical coding process, operating a patient recall system, and dealing with repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines. This is not an exhaustive list, and a full job description for this permanent role with us is available from our practice manager: wendy.taylor2wales.nhs.uk. Hours are up to full time, and salary will be discussed at interview. About us We are based in the centre of Fishguard with four partners, and three salaried GPs who lead our team. We also have a strong nursing unit, and we collectively try and offer a wide range of services and support to our patients. We are a very close knit, busy team generally, and really want to find someone who will fit in with that friendly, proactive and sometimes demanding environment of wanting to provide first class service delivery to our patients.
