Belcan has a job opportunity for a Permit Coordinator role to work with one of our clients, a world leader within many key industries (oil & gas, chemicals, and Nuclear) based in Somerset for a 6-12 month contract Inside IR35 - PAYE.
Role
As a Permit Coordinator / Permit Officer you will:
1. Ensure appropriate Standard Operating Procedures are maintained for all work carried out under the permit-to-work system at HPC.
2. Ensure all permits are issued in a timely manner.
3. Approve or reject any permits which do not meet the required standard.
4. Carry out site audits to ensure compliance with company and client's procedures and processes.
5. Initiate site audits to ensure compliance with the safe system of work.
6. Ensure copies of permits, or records of their issue, are kept for a specified period to enable auditing or incident investigation.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with the permit to work team and client representatives.
8. Be a problem solver, organized, with the ability to prioritize and deliver within a high-paced environment.
9. Demonstrate commitment, drive, and the ability to work on one's own initiative.
