Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: Are you an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker? Do you have a genuine desire to help improve the lives of vulnerable people? If so, we want to hear from you We are recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hour) Support Worker to support 2 young men with autism who share a home together in the Liberton area of Edinburgh. Here, we support these individuals to live the best lives possible by providing support with whatever they need. They are very active in their community and enjoy a wide range of activities including going to shows, volunteering, going out to eat, music and going for walks. As well as supporting with the above, we provide some support with managing their home and finances, attending appointments, medication administration and personal care. Your main goal will be to provide the right support so they can be as independent as possible and are supported to make their own choices. This role will include day shifts, sleepovers and some weekends (generally 2 weekends a month) Your values: Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities.
