About the Role
The Quality Shift Manager ensures all food production meets safety, regulatory, and customer standards. Leading a team of 34 QA Technicians and Monitors, this hands-on role focuses on compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the QA team to maintain high standards
Oversee post-chilling processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards
Conduct audits and inspections, supporting external audits (approx. 40 per year)
Investigate complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions
This fast-paced role requires strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
About You
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with strong leadership skills and a background in food production quality assurance.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience in a fast-paced factory environment (e.g., FMCG)
HACCP Level 3
Food Safety Level 3 (minimum)
Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and quality management systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage audits and regulatory inspections effectively
Desirable:
Background in the food industry preferred, but open to candidates with transferable experience
Working Hours
2-week rotation shift pattern:
Week 1: Monday - Saturday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
