We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Engineering Teacher to join the schools vibrant and supportive team. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge students to develop their skills in engineering, fostering curiosity and creativity in a rapidly advancing field. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in engineering for students at Key Stage 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5).
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.
* Assess and monitor student progress through regular feedback, tracking, and reporting.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers and departments to enhance the overall curriculum and educational experience.
* Contribute to the development and updating of engineering resources, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
* Support students in their personal and academic development through mentoring and pastoral care.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in engineering education.
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS) with a degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Experience teaching engineering (or a related subject) at secondary school level is desirable but not essential.
* A strong passion for engineering and a desire to inspire young minds.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
* Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues and students
