Responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-operative consultations to assess patient suitability for treatment in both NHS and private clinics. Additionally, the role involves managing a team of 10–15 optometrists, depending on regional size, ensuring continuous coaching, development, and training to maintain standardized business pathways and compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs), such as conversion rates. The role is structured as 75% management and 25% clinical activity, requiring frequent regional travel and daily remote team management. Requirements - Fully qualified Optometrist with current GOC registration - Extensive experience in refractive surgery, high-volume NHS clinics, or a high-street/hospital optometry setting - Proficiency in using patient administration and electronic medical record systems - Experience working towards conversion targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) - Leadership experience or equivalent experience in training and supporting optometrists. - Experience in performance management, training, and coaching.
