NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board
NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a statutory NHS organisation responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of our communities, managing the NHS budget, and arranging for the provision of joined up health services which improve the lives of people who live and work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
By collaborating as an integrated care system (ICS), our health and care organisations can tackle complex challenges, including:
1. improving the health of children and young people
2. supporting people to stay well and independent
3. acting sooner to help those with preventable conditions
4. supporting those with long-term conditions or mental health issues
5. caring for those with multiple needs as populations age
This is a key role to support and manage the effective design and delivery of Cornwall's pilot WorkWell service, trialling new ways of supporting people to overcome health barriers to work. It is open to part-time and/or hybrid working. We aim to support at least 2,067 people with health barriers to work, so that they can stay and succeed in their current job or get back to work in a new job.
Main duties of the job
The role holder will be responsible for managing delivery of Cornwall's pilot WorkWell service. You will build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners - and in particular with our WorkWell delivery partner - to secure a quality service; meet all performance monitoring requirements; manage risks to delivery; and maximise learning outcomes from the WorkWell pilot.
1. Communicate WorkWell requirements clearly to partners, working with Government officials as necessary to clarify lengthy, complex or ambiguous guidance.
2. Convene expertise to support effective delivery of outcomes, applying well-developed emotional intelligence and skills in collaborative working to get the best from a diverse range of partners.
3. Meet all reporting requirements for WorkWell (including to support the grant claims and payment process; enable effective oversight and assurance of performance; and support wider evaluation and learning). This will include reporting to Cornwall's regional governance bodies as well as central Government.
4. Identify and escalate key risks, working proactively with colleagues to develop mitigations or manage resulting issues. You will be confident in communicating difficult messages and negotiating with internal or external stakeholders as necessary to resolve issues.
