About the Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a Planning Engineer of Practitioner level to join our clients Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team. You will support the key client, EDF Energy Nuclear Generation, with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This role is part of the Project Management Resource team, spread across all UK sites and stations, and will be based at EDF’s Sizewell B location. You will support multiple projects within their UK-wide portfolio, focusing on nuclear defueling and decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage schedules incorporating risk, change, resource requirements, and cost.
* Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design in the Nuclear Defueling team.
* Support delivery of the client’s ALR2 commitments.
* Maintain high safety standards and culture within highly regulated environments.
* Develop relationships and maintain effective networks with a results-focused, team-centered approach.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
* Experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning).
* Proficiency in the latest version of Primavera.
* Ability to develop, control, monitor, analyze, and report on schedule-related aspects for designated projects.
* Establish and monitor a cost and resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plan.
* Capture project budgetary costs and resources to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget.
* Establish robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures.
* Integrate 3rd party schedules and data into the overall project plan.
* Communicate effectively at all levels of management and produce monthly reports with intelligent information and analysis.
