Reporting into the Group FC, you will be responsible for Accounts Receivable management, month-end processes and improving financial controls. This is a new role that has arisen due to the continued growth and complexity of the business. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial and Risk functions and other stakeholders across the business to provide support and challenge whilst helping to drive improvements as we grow.
Accounts Receivable Management:
1. Oversee the account's receivable function, ensuring timely invoicing and collections while driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
2. Collaborate with the Commercial team to resolve queries and billing disputes promptly.
3. Prepare and analyse trends, identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
Month-End Support:
1. Own key aspects of the month end close process including the preparation of monthly management accounts.
2. Preparations of accruals and prepayments and monthly posting of journals.
3. Intercompany reconciliations and rechargeable costs on a monthly basis.
4. Conducting analysis & analytical review of balance sheet and P/L Accounts.
Process & Control Improvement:
1. Support the documentation of processes, ensuring robust financial controls are maintained.
2. Identify and help drive automation through tools and systems where appropriate to streamline workflows.
3. Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
Audit Support:
1. Act as a point of contact for auditors and support the delivery of clean audits and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
1. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with proven experience in management accounting. Minimum +2 years PQE.
2. Prior experience in accounts receivable, month-end close processes, and financial analysis.
3. Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel and comfortable with working with SQL.
4. US Experience useful but not essential.
5. Proactive and results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
6. Strong organizational skills and a high level of accountability.
