We are seeking a Prepper Technician to join an automotive supplier in Banbury working to bespoke specifications showcasing world-class standards and finesse.
What the job entails:
You will play a crucial role in the meticulous restoration and presentation of luxurious carbon fibre panels and parts. This opportunity offers competitive pay rates on a long-term contract basis. You will be responsible for the preparation of luxury vehicles working to bespoke and custom specifications - This position is ideal for those with a broad range of skills including preparing vehicle parts and panels for painting by inspecting surfaces, sanding, masking, and applying fillers and primers to create a smooth, even base. To ensure surfaces are clean and free from contaminants, perform quality checks, and support a high standard of application.

Working hours:
We understand that every individual’s circumstances are different – with this in mind, you can take your pick of two shifts which will be fixed for you to allow a better work-life balance to suit your needs!
Lates: 2pm – 10pm (Monday – Friday)
Nights: 10pm – 6am (Sunday – Thursday)

Who is the ideal person?
Can examine vehicle panels and parts for imperfections, scratches, or dents, ensuring surfaces are suitable for the painting process.
Able to sand down surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other contaminants, achieving a smooth base for primer.
Can carefully mask off areas to protect them from paint overspray, ensuring clean lines and adherence to specifications.
Can fill dents or scratches and apply primer to surfaces, creating an even foundation for the next layer.
Can thoroughly clean and degrease parts and panels to remove dust, oils, or other contaminants that could affect adhesion.
Has the ability to inspect prepped parts before the next process, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications for smoothness and cleanliness.
