At SensesWA, we focus on recruiting the right people and offer targeted training so we can seamlessly match a person with a disability with the right support worker to engage in new experiences, establish community connections, develop independent living skills and live a fulfilling life.
We are currently seeking passionate and reliable support workers for permanent part-time positions throughout the wider Wheatbelt area, particularly in York and Northam.
Responsibilities
* Be comfortable working with a diverse range of ages, disabilities and behaviours.
* Have a genuine passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of people with disability.
* Possess a high level of trust, honesty and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants.
* Be computer and mobile phone savvy in order to access work emails and web-based applications such as rosters, case notes and incident reports.
* Have a current ‘Provide First Aid’ certificate (or be willing to obtain before start date).
* Hold a current Working With Children check (or be willing to obtain before start date).
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Have a current Full Australian Driver’s Licence and a comprehensively insured safe and suitable vehicle.
* Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
* An ability to provide personal care to people who need it, including support with personal hygiene, dressing and hoisting.
* Certificate III or IV in Disability.
* Willingness to undergo various related paid training as provided by the organisation.

Availability requirements
To ensure success in the role we ask that you commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
