About the Opportunity
Assurance, Technology & Regulation (AT&R) team has a primary focus on three key areas; Independent Oversight & Assurance, Technology Development, and Regulatory Support. We have been directly involved in the Royal Navy’s Nuclear Submarine Program for six decades and support the UK Civil Nuclear & Decommissioning industry. Come and join AT&R’s Business Operations Team and take on a key role in leading, managing and advising on, the activities required to meet the quality standards set for AT&R products, projects or services.
You will take ownership of the Sole Source Regulations Office (SSRO) Contract reporting requirements for the AT&R Qualifying Defence Contracts (QDCs). Working with the Operational, Project Management, Commercial, Finance and Project Controls teams you will lead on the compilation, analysis and reporting via DefCars of the required SSRO Contract Reports.
What you will doing
1. Preparation and submission of Contract Reports to the SSRO via the DefCars system for AT&R QDC contracts. This includes Contract Initiation Reports, Quarterly Contract Reports, Interim Contract Reports, Contract Completion Reports plus other ‘On-Demand’ and ‘Ad-hoc’ contract reports.
2. Provide the project/contract contribution and submission to the SSRO via the DefCars system of Contract Cost for AT&R QDC contracts of Interim and Contract Cost Statements.
3. Support AT&R Project Managers and Project Controls in the financial administration activities of projects, including supporting actual and forecast cost reporting, customer invoicing.
4. Support the Group Director – ATR and Head of PMO AT&R in the forecasting and reporting of PU financial performance.
5. Perform the role of Project Accountant for the AT&R local overhead project.
6. Take the lead for financial process improvement activities within AT&R.
7. Interprets internal or external business issues relating to financial and project cost performance and recommends best practices.
8. Solves complex project financial problems, takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems.
9. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
