We are working with a leading UK manufacturing company in the advanced power-train market. They have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician to test electrical systems of hybrids and EVs, at the European research and development centre of excellence.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work to procedures to deliver safe and defect-free instrumentation solutions
* Produce electrical looms to connect power-trains to machines
* Implement data acquisition solutions for power-train testing
* Diagnose and fix data logging system and sensor faults
* Work from engineering electrical drawings
* Travel to test and development facilities, including some overseas facilities
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area
* Participate in training and further learning as needed
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
* Knowledgeable in instrumentation and its applications
* Ideally, experience in instrumentation and/or data acquisition sensors
* Working towards or completed relevant higher education (e.g., NVQ Level 3)
* Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office and CAT-designed software
