In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing test equipment for sub-assembly and LRU/RMA testing, as well as writing test plans to ensure quality and efficiency in production. You will act as the interface between Engineering and Production, identifying in-process testing needs to enhance build quality and minimise rework time. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, implementing process improvements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will provide technical support, assist in training production staff, and occasionally travel to resolve customer issues. This position requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a commitment to optimising production efficiency. What we want from you: A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a test/engineering environment and/or a qualification such as BTEC/City & Guilds Level 2. Strong knowledge of testing electrical and electromechanical equipment. Proficient in reading complex technical drawings, including wiring diagrams and PCB schematics. Excellent computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of audiences.
