How you'll make a difference
As a Housing Assistant, you will be working to provide safe emergency accommodation and relieve homelessness within South Gloucestershire. You will be assisting households into temporary and longer-term accommodation, contributing to the council’s statutory duty.
What you will be doing
* Identify and assess suitability of offered accommodation for households.
* Lead the sign-up processes and ensure documents are accurate.
* Maintain accurate electronic records for all households and placements within emergency accommodation and private sector access schemes.
* Assist with rent collection and maintaining budgets/financial information.
What we need from you
* Essential NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent housing and support experience.
* Relevant practical experience in administration and proven high levels of customer service.
* General knowledge of the relevant housing legislation.
* Ability to confidently use IT systems, databases and Microsoft packages.
What you need to know
This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews will be held on 25th March 2025.
