What you'll be doing
You will be working as part of our welcoming team, supported by our experienced Endoscopy Lead. As an Endoscopy Practitioner, you will provide expert support to Registered Nurses during the treatment of patients, taking into account their specific needs during procedures utilising the appropriate Practice Plus Group Integrated Care Pathway (ICP).
You will prepare the endoscopy room and equipment and provide specialist assistance to the endoscopist throughout the procedure as required, as well as taking part in the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of specialist equipment in line with national decontamination standards and maintain associated records.
With a Practitioner / Nursing Associate qualification and recent experience gained in an acute or elective healthcare environment, you will be confident in your ability to support patients through the care pathway.
What we’ll look for in you
1. Registered Nurse Level 1
2. Experience in Endoscopy
3. Evidence of continual professional development to meet NMC requirements
4. To be registered with the appropriate professional body
5. Endoscopy Principles & Procedures or equivalent
6. IV drug administration, venepuncture and cannulation
7. Basic / Intermediate life support skills
