Marketing at Planet We’re a team of around 2 0 marketers located in the UK and across Europe where our goal is to be a growth engine for the commercial vertical functions: Retail, Hospitality, and Partners. Our team i s formed of d igital, product marketing, field marketing, marketing operations and communications, and we sit within the Growth function in Planet’s commercial division. We’re looking for a talented individual to support the Communications Manager across all our external communications, includ ing PR, social media, customer comm unications, testimonials, messaging and corporate content. Internal communications fall under HR. It’s a great opportunity for the right person to build their skills and experience across all areas of external communications, carrying with it the potential to grow for example into more senior communications or content roles. What you’ll be doing Corporate communications : You’ll be helping to develop and deliver our exciting growth story. We ’re looking f or someone t o help shape the narrative that brings our growth story to life and that helps to p osition us around the benefits our unique approach to connecting payments and technology brings to customers. You ’ll support the team with message development work, identify trends and themes (e.g. international travel) where we can take a position, and present our content to our audience s in ways that drives engagement and demand. We also want to get better at using our data and in sight s (for example on Tax Free shopping trends) to create leads, so this is also an exciting opportunity for you to help shape our top of funnel communications programme. Y ou’ll also develop our case studies and customer testimonials programme, sourcing new opportunities and co-ordinating the whole production process. You’ll also support our Communications Manager with the PR programme, including reactive communications where needed to handle incidents. Social media : Y ou’ll look after Planet’s LinkedIn channel which has 75,000 followers and will be the ‘go-to’ person for all things related to organic social media. We want you to craft a social media programme that increases the number of followers, engagement rates and which delivers traffic to the website. We’re also keen to develop the presence of our spokespeople and subject matter experts, so you’ll also support them with advice and content to help develop their social media profiles. Customer communications: We’re leading the work across the business to improve how we manage and deliver large-scale customer communication s. Our aim is to enhance the customer experience with a more consistent approach, especially where we’re communicating changes that have a commercial or operational impact on them. The role will help embed and co-ordinat e new processes ( around intake, planning and execution), and you’ll work cross-functionally to improve visibility of our communications and our approach to planning and execution. You’ll also drive th e work to develop best practice, developing materials to deliver brand consistency and you’ll help train front-line support staff. It’s also an opportunity to work with the team to develop a customer communications programme that supports retention and cross-selling. From time to time, you ’ll support other related corporate communication activities, helping advise and support colleagues across the business with their communications. Always counted on to lean in and land a hand, you’ll take pleasure in helping those who produce our content to draft and publish compelling content for our audiences, including working with the agencies and freelancers who support our programme. Who you are Minimum of three years’ experience working across corporate and customer communications, ideally for a payments or technology business. Strong storytel ling and copy writing skills, equally adept at crafting long and short form content across d igital channels and social media. Excellent verbal and written English skills. A team player and excellent communicator. Ab le to work on multiple projects and collaborate with colleagues across the business, and happy to switch between tasks and priorities at short notice. Some experience in PR would be helpful. Skilled with Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new skills and technologies. P roblem sol ving mentality driven by delivering measurable results and passionate about supporting the business grow th. Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. Fluent in English, with French or Spanish as a second language. Motivation to work in a fast - paced high growth enviro n ment. Able to work in a hybrid environment with colleagues across the UK and Europe. A keen eye for detail and a sense of design and how to message to a target audience.
