The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor and government clients. We maintain pivotal relationships with many of the most prominent clients in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) financial services industry and aid them, through M&A and capital markets transactions, in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure. We cover origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions, as well as market top-tier corporate broking services across the FIG client base, together with colleagues from other product teams. As an Associate within the FIG France team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the Firm's operations. Your responsibilities will include closely collaborating with team members to cater to our clients' requirements, thereby enhancing J.P. Morgan's brand and standing in the market. You will be expected to collaborate across various teams to devise strategies for clients, construct comprehensive financial models, analyze market data, and create client presentations. J.P. Job responsibilities Cover the French FIG market Keep abreast of key market and regulatory developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics Complete complex analytical exercises including advanced valuation modelling Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, board materials, memorandums and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions and other strategic client dialogue Support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, etc. in the context of transactions execution and liaise with relevant counterparts at the client / other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.) Provide training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Proficient analytical, accounting, financial analysis and modelling skills Multiple years of investment banking or Transaction Services experience Solid communication and project management skills Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers Willingness to develop and ability to learn quickly Great team player with excellent organisational skills and a rigorous eye for detail Good technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications Fluent in French and English Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Master's Degree or equivalent Preference for candidates with FIG experience This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity.
