Accounts Assistant - What will I be doing?
This role will appeal to someone who enjoys variety and has the flexibility to adapt to suit the needs of the business, with meticulous attention to detail, a good head for figures, and ideally, 5 years’ experience within a Finance department.
Some of the duties include:
* Credit Control.
* Monitor payments and issue reminders.
* Entering payments.
* Creating invoices / pro forma invoices.
* Processing expenses.
* Preparing payment runs for invoices & expenses.
* Producing accounts (annually & quarterly).
* Collating figures for quarterly VAT returns.
* Maintaining the accounting system.
* Any other duties that may arise from time to time in relation to accounting.
* Running month-end reports.
Accounts Assistant - What experience do I need?
* Worked within a finance environment.
* Excellent administration and organisational skills.
* Confident in dealing with figures.
* Experience of working with accounting software – training will be given on in-house software.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Methodical, accurate with strong attention to detail.

Accounts Assistant - What else do I need to know?
This role is part of a supportive team. It is the ideal opportunity for someone who is a self-starter and passionate about delivering a high level of service. The role is 100% office-based in Letchworth, Monday to Thursday, 16 - 20 hours per week.
Able to cover holidays with extra hours would be useful.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£17.40 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 22 per week
